SSX: First sneak peek at ‘Trick It’ game mode

By Updated on

We have some really exciting news now for those of you that are thinking of buying EA Sports’ much-anticipated SSX (formerly known as SSX: Deadly Descents) snowboarding game, as we’ve just heard that a new trailer has surfaced online that gives us the first sneak peek at the ‘Trick It’ game mode.

As Jack DeVries over on the uk.ps3.ign.com website notes, ‘Trick It’ is just one of the three game modes included in the upcoming SSX snowboarding game. As you can most likely guess from the name, the ‘Trick It’ mode requires players to perform insane aerial stunts in order to earn themselves points.

Although the developer has made the SSX title a more realistic looking snowboarding game, the over-the-top arcade feel of the tricks is still a big part of it. Fans of the series will also notice that the Tricky meter has returned, which players are able build up by performing spins and sweet grabs.

Once the Tricky meter is full, your snowboarder can perform an Uber Trick. One of the great new features in the SSX game is the terrain deformation. As players perform tricks they will trigger shockwaves. The ripples that spread out will then move the terrain, changing a player’s ride and enabling them to achieve bigger air.

You can view the gameplay trailer via the IGN website. Will you be buying the SSX snowboarding game?
