With just hours to go until Apple officially kick start their WWDC 2011 event, the question that most people want answers to, is whether or not we will see a brand new iPhone 5 device live on stage, after months of speculation.
On paper, it’s likely that this won’t happen. Instead Apple will use their event to highlight new functionality and features in iOS 5, the next version of their mobile software OS which is said to bring a brand new interface and tweaks such as automatic app downloads.
We’re also going to see the next version of Mac OS X at WWDC 2011, and this has already been confirmed to be called Lion, following on from 10.6 Snow Leopard. Add to that the unveiling of Apple’s brand new could service ‘iCloud’ and you have a pretty good event worth watching – but it could be better of course.
No WWDC event is complete without the announcement of a brand new iPhone 5 device, and it’s the one thing that every Apple fan looks forward to each year. Apple has led us to believe that they don’t have a new iPhone to show, but do you believe them? Will we see a brand new device with a 4.3-inch edge to edge display, an 8MP camera, a dual-core A5 processor and so on? – We really hope so.
