HTC ChaCha gets 200MHz speed boost in time for launch

If Facebook is the one feature that sways you towards a smartphone when deciding whether to buy one or not then then the HTC ChaCha is a device that may interest you. We previously brought you news of the release date for Phones4U, now we have new of a slight improvement in specs that the ChaCha has been given.

If you were hoping to get your hands on one of these smartphones then you will be delighted to hear of the 200MHz improvement it has been given. When reported about previously the ChaCha was said to include a 600MHz Qualcomm processor however the specs list of the device on the official HTC web page now lists it as being an 800MHz processor.

The HTC ChaCha will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread as previously expected, and far as other specs included go they also seem to be the same as before. These other specs include 512MB ROM and RAM, a QWERTY keyboard, 2.6” screen, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, front facing a camera with VGA resolution and a 5 megapixel rear facing camera.

The most outstanding feature of this device is the Facebook button which allows for easy sharing amongst users. Though the boost in speed still doesn’t compare to the higher end smartphones it still will be of significance to those who intend on getting one.
