Recently whilst attending Computex 2011 Engadget came across an upcoming Gigabyte motherboard which demanded their attention, this is because it features an integrated solid-state drive.

This motherboard is called the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3-iSSD (yes, iSSD stands for integrated-SSD), it features an Intel 20GB SLC SSD thanks to its mSATA slot, this means that people will be able to install their preferred operating system without having to purchase a separate storage device, neat eh?

Other specs can be checked out via this image, to summarize the LGA1155 CPU socket supports second-gen Intel Core processors and the four DDR3 RAM slots allow for up to 32GB of memory. Most of the other slots / ports are what you would expect from a motherboard of this calibre, yes, that does mean there is both USB 3.0 and SATA 3 ports.

If you do not want the integrated SSD you can buy the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3, this features the mSATA slot, however it is empty. You can see a full gallery of images and find out more about this impressive motherboard over at Engadget, currently we have no idea of pricing or a release date, therefore we will have to keep you posted.
