There have been quite a lot of rumors and speculation regarding Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated GTA V (GTA 5) game over the past few months, including the confusion as to when the game will actually be released. Now it appears that more rumors have surfaced ahead of the E3 2011 event.
According to Andy Robinson over at computerandvideogames.com, retailers have begun listing the new Grand Theft Auto game along with some others – including the Resident Evil 6 title – for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, which fits in with rumors suggesting that GTA 5 would be revealed at E3 2011.
Rumors are suggesting that the Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA V) game will be set in real-world Los Angeles, and have actual named landmarks filling the streets. Besides a number of job ads posted last year for what sounded like GTA V, analysts have also suggested that the game is well into development.
Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter said last year that he believed that the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise to be launched by the fourth quarter of 2012 at the latest. What do you think about the possibility of the GTA V game being set in Los Angeles?
