The PSN downtime has not been as dramatic for every PS3 owner, and some people have only just logged on to the PlayStation Network after hearing that the Store is back up and there is a “Welcome Back” package waiting for them, although this claim for freebies is not so simple.
We’ve had reports, as in our earlier post, that users are getting PSN errors when trying to access the PS Store. Refreshing or continued effort seems to fix the problem, which is caused by too many users trying to connect to PSN at one time. This worked for us in our test.
In the last 24-hours Sony have released details of their PlayStation Home ‘Welcome Back” program. Sony wants to say thank you to those that stick by the brand, which seems to be most of the user base. We agree that Sony could have dealt with this hacking disaster in a better way, but the effort they’re making now is good news for those that are sticking by them, although the freebies are not perfect by any means. Feel free to share your feelings in the comments.
Step one in the PlayStation Home customer appreciation program looks good, which includes an exclusive game download, two personal spaces, and 100 free items. To find out exactly what Sony is giving away and when, see this article.
Check out the new freebies via the above link, and then let us know what you think of the PlayStation Home welcome back package, and tell us if you’re still seeing PSN errors?
