It was only last week that we announced that CD Projekt RED was releasing a patch (version 1.1) for their hugely popular role-playing game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. Now we have received word that the developer is getting ready to release the new 1.2 patch, along with new downloadable content.
The good news is that the new 1.2 patch / DLC should be arriving at some point today. According to Mark Serrels over at kotaku.com.au, the upcoming patch not only fixes a number of issues that players have been reporting since the game was released, but it also adds all of the previous DLC.
It also provides gamers with a brand new (free) DLC package titled “Barbers and Coiffeuses,” which enables players to take advantage of both barbershop and hairstyling services. Gamers will also find that the new 1.2 patch has added a new option to the game menu, which enables them to delete game saves.
The patch has also added support for Logitech G35 headphones and other USB headsets with on-board sound cards, made it so that the analog sticks on gamepads work correctly in the GUI panels, and fixed an issue that prevented advancement to the next level at the beginning of Chapter 3.
