According to a recent article posted on CrackBerry the 16GB WiFi BlackBerry PlayBook will be on sale in all Sprint sales channels and online from Sunday, June 5, it will cost $499.99, however there is no sign of the 4G version just yet.

To be honest with you this news is not very interesting as most of the interest currently surrounds the 4G model, however if nothing else it gives us a rough indication of how much it will cost and shows us that Sprint are seriously backing the PlayBook.

Hopefully we will hear more about the 4G PlayBook soon, for the time being why not check out RIM’s PlayBook website to recap and help you decide whether the BlackBerry PlayBook is the correct tablet for you.

One thing which may put people off the current BlackBerry Playbook is the fact that there is already talk surrounding its successor, according to our recent post it is headed for a Q4 2011 release date, surely this will put off potential customers.

When we hear details regarding Sprint’s 4G BlackBerry Playbook we will keep you posted, we are led to believe that a summer release is expected, however nothing has been set in stone.

How long will you wait for the Sprint 4G BlackBerry Playbook?
