SOCOM 4: PS Plus subscribers get free maps / weapons

By Updated on

If you own a PlayStation Plus subscription and a copy of the SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs game, I think we have news that you’ll most definitely want to hear. As a way of welcoming players back to the SOCOM 4 game, the developer Zipper Interactive is offering all PS Plus subscribers free maps and weapons.

As Jeremy Dunham – Senior Community Manager at Zipper Interactive – over on the blog.us.playstation.com website recently reported, all PlayStation Plus subscribers will now be able to download the ‘Abandoned’ map and the exclusive shotguns that were originally offered as a GameStop pre-order incentive.

That doesn’t appear to be the only news either. When the developer announced the SOCOM Pro just before the game was due to arrive in store, they promised that they would release the often requested AK-47 and M16 weapons. We can now tell you that they’re almost here!!

What’s more exciting is the fact that the weapons will come packaged alongside a batch of new competitive multiplayer maps. The SOCOM Pro Assault Pack, which includes 3 new maps (Red Line, Driftwood and Double Cross), will be available as a free download exclusively for SOCOM Pro members.
