We have some really exciting news now for those of you that live in Australia and are thinking about buying the hugely popular Samsung Galaxy S II (S2) handset, as we’ve just received word that Vodafone Australia has now started taking pre-orders for the Android-based smartphone.
As JoannaM over on the unwiredview.com website recently noted, Samsung’s latest smartphone – which features a large 4.3-inch AMOLED Plus display – has been receiving mostly positive reviews since it first launched, and some have even dubbed it as the best Android phone to date.
In fact, the Samsung Galaxy S II handset is already outselling the Apple iPhone 4 in many markets including the UK, and South Korea. Those of you that decide to pre-order the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S II from Vodafone will receive a bonus of $50 credit on your bill and a free leather case.
However, you will need to act fast, as the pre-sale finishes on June 9th. The smartphone should then begin shipping at the end of June. As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy S II is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core SoC processor and comes with 1GB of RAM and an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and HD video recording.
