TabletKiosk unveils new Sahara Slate PC i500 Windows 7 tablet

We have some pretty exciting news now for those of you that are thinking about buying a new Windows 7 tablet, as we’ve just heard that California-based manufacturer TabletKiosk has recently unveiled its new Sahara Slate PC i500 Windows 7 tablet PC, which is specifically aimed towards professionals.

As Cristian over on the tcmagazine.com website recently reported, the Sahara Slate PC i500 has been described as the most powerful Windows 7 slate to date. The Sahara Slate PC i500 tablet weighs in at 1.49kg and boasts a 12.1-inch LED-backlit dual-mode display with a 1366 x 768 resolution.

The tablet’s dual-mode display supports both pen and finger input, with the option of both resistive and capacitive touch screens. Consumers also have a choice of processors including a 1.06GHz Celeron U3400 or the 2.13GHz Core i7-640LM. It also comes with up to 8GB of RAM and a choice of hard drive or SSD.

Other features (as noted over on the tabletkiosk.com website) include Intel’s Turbo Boost technology, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) connectivity and a Biometric Fingerprint Reader. In terms of ports, the TabletKiosk Sahara Slate Pc i500 tablet includes 2 full-sized USB 2.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet.
