We have some fantastic news for those of you currently residing with T-Mobile USA, as the carrier has just announced an official release date for the highly anticipated HTC Sensation handset. Question is though, will you buy this from day one or are there other handsets which are grabbing your attention?
T-Mobile has announced that the customers will be able to get their hands on the Sensation on June 15th, and that it will be priced at $200 on a two year contract with T-Mobile. However, those of you who want to get one even earlier, can do so exclusively from Walmart from June 12th, as reported from Engadget.
The Sensation packs some hardware specs to be proud of, and these include the likes of a 4.3-inch qHD capacitive display, a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, 1080p HD video recording, an 8MP rear camera with separate front-facing camera and MicroSD memory support.
However, one of the big selling points of the Sensation, is the fact that it is one of the first HTC devices to ship with their brand new and ultra slick Sense 3.0 user interface on top of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. This means that you’ll be buying a handset with the ability to support animated widgets and be assured that you have one of the newest HTC handsets on the market.
But is it enough? While the HTC Sensation is an attractive proposition for T-Mobile customers, the same can be said for Verizon customers looking to snap up a Motorola Droid Bionic with 4G LTE support in the Summer. Specs are similar, but the HTC Sensation is slightly stronger in a direct hardware comparison. But if it’s all about 4G LTE data speeds for you, then the Droid Bionic is still a good option.
If you are looking for the best looking handset on the market with the latest hardware specifications, then those of you previously set on the Droid Bionic may want to change your minds and consider the Sensation on T-Mobile.
Don’t forget though, the Sensation also has support for T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network, so the deciding factor may come down to which network you prefer the most. Give us your thoughts on this.
