F.E.A.R. 3 multiplayer trailer: ‘Soul Survivor’ mode explained

By Updated on

We’ve seen a few F.E.A.R. 3 multiplayer trailers over the past few weeks including one that highlighted the ‘Soul King’ mode, and another that focused on the ‘Contractions’ mode. We now have news of another multiplayer trailer, only this time it’s the ‘Soul Survivor’ mode that gets explained.

As Anthony Taormina over at gamerant.com reports, the ‘Soul Survivor’ mode – which is a unique spin on a popular multiplayer game variant – pits one single player against the entire team at first. However, the odds soon even out when that specific player begins to corrupt the other players.

What makes the ‘Soul Survivor’ mode more unique than the other F.E.A.R. 3 multiplayer modes is the way it changes the rules and team affiliations as it is being played. Once a player is chosen by Alma to begin the game as a spectre, they are then tasked with infecting all the other players in the game.

Once other players are corrupted, the team alliances will change. The remaining players will then be forced to work together in order to fight off the growing spectre force and stay alive. We have embedded the ‘Soul Survivor’ multiplayer trailer below this post so you can check the mode out for yourself.
