Microsoft Xbox 360 price cut, first E3 2011 surprise leaked?

By Updated on

We have some good news for those of you thinking of picking up an Xbox 360 console soon, as we’re hearing that one of Microsoft’s planned announcements for E3 2011 may have been let out of the bag early. How would you like a price cut for the Xbox 360 and Kinect hardware combo?

The news isn’t official yet, but details look to have been outed by US retailer Target and one of their Xbox 360 product pages. If you head to their listing here for the 250GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle, you’ll see that they list it for the unusually low price of $299, as reported from VG247.

We can tell you that it’s usually priced at $399, and this can be seen at the same package over at Amazon here. Actually clicking on Target’s listing brings you to the original $399 price again, leading us to believe that Microsoft are intending to announce the $100 price cut at E3, which starts June 6th.

Does this deal interest you? $299 is certainly an attractive offer for a 250GB console with Kinect on top of that. Don’t forget you’ll also get a copy of Kinect Adventures to try out the camera straight away too.

We can’t wait to see what else Microsoft has in store for E3, will anything else be leaked this week? Stay tuned for further updates on our PR Facebook page.
