Dead Island: Deep Silver reveals eye-catching box art

By Updated on

We’ve already provided our readers with a stunning debut trailer, a few details and a lengthy gameplay trailer for Techland’s zombie-slashing game Dead Island, and now it appears that the publisher Deep Silver has just revealed the eye-catching box art for the much-anticipated title.

As John Jacques over on the gamerant.com website recently reported, the final Dead Island cover art – which will in fact be the same for all three platforms (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC) – shows off several unfortunate resort visitors going through what can only be described as the zombification process.

For those of you that have not read or heard about the forthcoming Dead Island title, it’s an open world, first-person zombie slasher that also features RPG elements. Surviving is the bottom line in Dead Island, and players can do so by using any handy object that’s nearby.

Unlike other zombie-themed games such as Dead Rising or Left 4 Dead, the Dead Island game doesn’t crowd the screen with hordes of zombies too often. The combat has been described as more up-close, intense and personal, so players can focus more on each kill and its gritty details.

The Dead Island game is due to be released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows on August 1st. You can view the recently revealed cover art over on the gamerant.com website. Are you looking forward to playing the upcoming Dead Island title?
