Battlefield 3: Unseen gameplay video and graphics comparison with BF2 maps

As gamers around the world prepare for a full reveal at E3 2011, we have a brand new video feature on Battlefield 3 to show you which should keep you busy for a few days. Not only does this video compare graphics with BF2, but it also unveils some unseen footage of the EA DICE shooter.

The video comes courtesy of EA PWNED, which you may be already familiar with. It’s a web series from the UK division of EA and the latest episode is a Battlefield 3 special. It contains interviews from the developers of the game, and it provides gamers with a look at how the graphics in Battlefield 3 have progressed from the other Battlefield games in the franchise.

More interestingly, we also get to see a direct comparison of how the ‘Back to Karkand’ map looks like using BF3’s new Frostbite 2.0 engine. Hardcore fans of the franchise will know that the map was featured in BF2, so don’t miss the video below if you want to see what the map looks like with the brand new visuals and added textures.

At the very end of the video, you’ll see a brief snippet of brand new gameplay for the game, footage which you are very likely to have not seen before.
