If you’re thinking about buying a new mobile phone and you’d rather buy a white handset, then I think we have news that could well be of interest to you. Canadian phone manufacturer Research in Motion (RIM) has just launched a brand new white version of its BlackBerry Curve 3G handset.

According to an article by Paul Lamkin over on the pocket-lint.com website, the white BlackBerry Curve 3G handset is exclusive to Phones 4u in the UK. Those who are interested in the white version will be able to pick it up on contract starting from £16.50 a month on multiple networks.

Customers also have the option of purchasing the white BlackBerry Curve 3G on pay-as-you-go for £149.95. There’s even the option of buying it bundled together with the 7-inch BlackBerry PlayBook (£99 with a £37 a month contract). The white BlackBerry PlayBook 3G will be available from June 16th.

The white version has exactly the same specs as the black version of the BlackBerry Curve 3G, which as many of you know includes a 320 x 240 TFT LCD display, a 2-megapixel camera and a full QWERTY keyboard with backlighting. It also comes with 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity.
