As most of you will be well aware, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Activision are preparing to unleash the third installment of Modern Warfare this November. However, after the recent teaser trailer release, there has been a few reports suggesting that once again Activision will favor the Xbox 360 version of the game.
It has been noted that at the end of the reveal trailer for Modern Warfare 3, the familiar Xbox 360 logo was shown at the end, with a message telling viewers to pre-order the Xbox 360 version. As you can guess, there was no mention of the PS3 version, which obviously draws resemblance to Activision’s previous stance on which version of Call of Duty titles is considered their favorite.
This insight has been provided by the guys over at GamerSheep, however, this Xbox 360 logo isn’t anywhere to be seen at the end of the reveal trailer on YouTube – was it removed in fear of a PS3 backlash?
Although Actvision and Infinity Ward are yet to announce any sort of console deals for Modern Warfare 3, do not be surprised if PS3 users end up getting DLC one month later again, just like what happens on Black Ops and seemingly every other Call of Duty game in existance.
As a PS3 owner reading this, how would you feel if Activision once again favor the Xbox 360 version of Modern Warfare 3? Will you consider boycotting and perhaps get the PC version, or do you not mind waiting an extra month for DLC?
