You won’t need us to remind you that today is a very important day for PS3 gamers. It is apparently the day when Sony will resume service of their PlayStation Store, and we have details on some of the content that will be available once it goes live.
Sony has yet to confirm whether or not the PSN ‘welcome back’ package will be available today as well, but an article over at PlayStation Lifestyle has revealed the confirmed content that you will be able to download when Sony presses the PS Store switch.
Content includes demos for Motorstorm Apocalypse, Red Faction: Armageddon, LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean, while there are also several PSN games such as Beyond Good and Evil HD, Under Siege and Outland. On the DLC side of things, there will be add-on material for Crysis 2, Rock Band, Fallout New Vegas, Shift 2 and Zen Pinball.
They have also listed rumored content for Mortal Kombat too, so that should interest those of you who have the game on either the PS3 or Xbox 360. While the above content is most welcome, its still not better than the 30 day PSN+ subscription and free games that Sony has promised. The sooner we know when that is coming, the better.
What are your thoughts on the first batch of content on the PlayStation Store since the outage? Is the PS Store back up in your area yet?
