Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 price war has begun already

This coming November promises to be a good time for fans of first person shooters. We have the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise, as well as the much anticipated Battlefield 3. Recently we had some of the details leaked about MW3, but today we can tell you that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 price war has begun already.

Luke Johnson over at T3.com is reporting that in the UK supermarket Sainsbury’s is now offering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for the preorder price of £36. The game is not due until November 8 but the price is quite a saving of the RRP of £54.99.

Amazon has the game listed for £42.91 while retailer Game has it priced at £39.99. To get the game from Sainsbury’s for the £36 you have to enter a special discount code provided by the retailer. You also get 500 bonus Nectar points as well.

As we get nearer the launch date of the game we can expect to see more deals become available from the likes of Asda and Tesco’s, who normally offer new games at a discounted price for a limited time.
