Napster Mobile Streaming: Android / iPhone App Comes to UK

By Updated on

We have some rather interesting news now for all you music lovers out there that own an Apple iOS or Android device, as we’ve recently received word that Napster has just launched its Napster Unlimited plus Mobile music streaming service for both iOS and Android users in the UK.

As Chris Davies over on the slashgear.com website recently noted, the new £10 per month subscription service provides users with instant unlimited access to Napster’s catalogue of over 15 million tracks via their mobile devices, which includes iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android.

The new application also enables automatic offline playback of the last 100 tracks that have been played, as well as saved playlists, artists and albums. The app supports streaming over both Wi-Fi and 3G, but it might be a good idea to have an unlimited data plan if you intend to stream via 3G.

Napster users will also gain access to the company’s recommendations, top 100 charts, official music charts and Automix. Users’ playlists will be automatically synchronized between the company’s desktop and mobile clients, enabling them to widen their access to the music they love.

The company is also offering a £5 per month home entertainment streaming-only subscription service, which enables users to gain access to the entire online catalogue via wireless home audio devices; PCs or even internet connected TVs. Would you download the Napster Unlimited plus Mobile app?
