The Android Market is jam packed with applications that are ideal for children, but as you can very well imagine some are worth downloading more so than others. There’s also the factor as to whether you don’t mind paying for an app, or you’d rather look out for the ones that are free.
With that in mind, we thought we’d take a look at some of the free Android apps for children and thanks to a recent article by Tamsin Oxford over at techradar.com, we can give you information on 10 of the best. If your children are aged between 1 and 5, then they may like the AniWorld Lite app.
The AniWorld Lite application teaches children the names of different animals, as well as giving them the opportunity to pet and feed them. Although AniWorld Lite is rather basic, it’s the app’s ‘Hey, pet me’ feature that will have both you and your children laughing out loud.
HomeWork is another application on the list. Although the app is not a fun one, it is a helpful one that’s aimed at older children. The HomeWork app enables them to schedule homework and lessons, plan for exam revision, set reminders, and even manage their time more effectively.
Another app that appears to be quite popular among kids is the Talking Gina the Giraffe app. Players can stroke, water, feed and play Patty Cake with Gina in order to keep her happy. Then there is the TomnJerry Tube app, which enables your kids to watch classic Tom and Jerry cartoons.
