We have some really exciting news now for all your Gears of War fans out there, as we’ve just heard that Microsoft has recently revealed details for both the Limited and Epic Editions of the highly anticipated Gears of War 3 game, which is due to arrive in stores on September 20th.
According to a recent article by Tom Ivan over at computerandvideogames.com, the Limited Edition – which will be available at selected retailers for £59.99 – will include a fabric COG flag, an Octus Award Box with Octus Service Award and an exclusive unlockable Adam Fenix multiplayer character.
The zinc-alloy cog-shaped Octus Service medal replicates the award that was given to Adam in recognition of his work on the Hammer of Dawn. The Limited Edition will also provide gamers with the personal effects of Adam Fenix including the initial Hammer of Dawn schematic.
In the meantime, the Epic Edition – which will be available exclusively at both GAME and Gamestation for £99.99 – will come with a limited edition Marcus Fenix statue and the 96-page The Art and Design of Gears of War by Tom Bissell, which includes interviews, concept artwork and photos.
The Epic Edition also provides gamers with an Infected Omen weapons pack, as well as all the content mentioned for the Gears of War 3 Limited Edition. Are you thinking about buying the Gears of War 3 game? If so, does the Epic or Limited Editions tempt you in any way?
