Today’s high-end smartphone market tends to be dominated by Apple, HTC, Motorola, Samsung and RIM offerings, however we have recently found out about the upcoming Sharp Aquos SH-12C, this smartphone boasts some pretty impressive specs.
The Sharp Aquos SH-12C features a 4.2-inch glasses-free 3D QHD display which supports a resolution of 540×960, a 1.4GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, 512MB of RAM, 2GB of ROM, dual 8 MP cameras which take 3D photos and capture 3D videos. Also it boasts HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth and we presume there will be WiFi connectivity thrown in to. All of these specs are brought together by Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The smartphone is pretty aesthetically pleasing also, it has a white design and a slate form-factor, the rear of the device is dominated by the dual cameras and flash, whilst on the front there is a massive display and three Android buttons. You can see a couple of photos showing the front and back of the SH-12C over at BGR.
Currently there is no sign of a U.S. or UK release, however we can confirm that the Japanese carrier Docomo will offer this impressive handset from Friday 20th May (a weeks time from today). Would you like to see the Aquos SH-12C available in your area?
