We’ve brought you a few articles about the Motorola Droid X2 handset over the past few months, but most of them have been related to the specs of the much-anticipated device. Although we have heard rumors of when the smartphone would be arriving, there has been no confirmation up until now.
As Kellex over at droid-life.com recently noted, the Droid X2 was rumoured to have originally been arriving on May 13th (today), but with the release of the Motorola Droid Charge being pushed back, the guys at droid-life.com wondered whether the launch of the Droid X2 could have been delayed as well.
Well it looks like we have some good news for those of you that are waiting for the upcoming handset to arrive, as Verizon has just revealed the release date. The new launch date for the dual-core Tegra 2 Android device will be May 26th. It looks like you may be able to pre-order as from May 19th.
As some of you will already be aware, the Motorola Droid comes with a 4.3-inch qHD display with a 960 x 540 resolution, a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 8GB of internal storage, a 1540mAh battery, an 8GB SD card pre-installed, an 8-megapixel rear camera and 720p video recording.
