We may have previously announced that the much-anticipated HTC Flyer would be launching in both the UK and the US, but up until now there has been no word on a Canadian release. However, it now looks like the Android-based tablet could be heading to Canada after all.
According to a recent article by Ian Hardy at mobilesyrup.com, the HTC Flyer has now been added to the drop down menu on the Canadian section of the HTCSense.com website. This of course gives strong indication that Canada could be seeing the tablet pretty soon.
There have been previous reports suggesting that the upcoming Android tablet could well be heading to Telus. As Ian noted, the last time a device popped up on the HTCSense.com website was with the Telus Desire HD, which only took two months to be officially released.
As many of you will already be aware, the HTC Flyer’s specs include a 7-inch touch screen display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, 1GB of RAM, a 1.5GHz single-core Qualcomm processor, a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and Wi-Fi.
The HTC Flyer will come shipped running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but will be upgraded to 3.0 Honeycomb OS. Are you thinking about buying the HTC Flyer?
