If you’re familiar with the comedy horror fantasy movie Army of Darkness and you own an iOS device, I think we have news that could be of interest to you. Backflip Studios has recently announced they will be releasing Army of Darkness: Defense, a new castle defense game coming to iOS.
As recently noted over at IGN, Backflip Studios – the mobile game developer behind titles such as Ragdoll Blaster 2, Paper Toss and NinJump –revealed that they have partnered up with MGM Studios, in order to release a mobile castle defense game that is based on the classic 1992 film.

The upcoming iOS game – which is scheduled to hit the Apple App Store on May 12th – will feature the infamous dialogue of the movie’s main character Ash Williams, which as many of you will know was voiced by Bruce Campbell, as well as other characters drawn directly from the movie.
Army of Darkness: Defense takes place during the movie’s castle scene, where Ash and his allies have to defend the Necronomicon from the attack of Deadites. The game will feature more than 150 direct lines of dialogue from Bruce Campbell, as well as beautifully animated graphics.
Players will be stepping into the shoes of Ash Williams, and will be able to call upon a variety of allies including archers, swordsman and armoured knights. The app will also feature many of the other movie characters including Evil Ash, the Wiseman, Arthur and Sheila.
