The 2011 Hyundai India Verna is all ready to hit the Indian market, but there are two questions, what is the price in India, and how many variants? We have already discussed how Tata is cornering the cheap sector, but the new Verna sedan is in a different market, which you can already see by the styling – something that Hyundai is getting better at.
Prices for the 2011 Hyundai Verna starts at Rs. 6.99 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 10.74 lakh, these are for the base petrol and 1.6 diesel automatic models respectively. For those thinking of buying one of these new sedans, then you had better hurry, as this price is an introductory offer only. We are not certain how much the price will increase by.

The Korean carmaker is hoping to shift 45,000 units in the first year, and with four petrol and four diesel variants, it might not be that hard of a target. Consumers will have a choice of six colors, along with 8 different trim levels. IIFL points out that the Hyundai Verna will have to compete with the likes of Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Vento and many more.
The different variants are as follows: 1.4L, 1.6L, 1.6SX and 1.6 SX (O), this goes for both the petrol and diesel versions. We do not know if Hyundai has risen the bar enough, but from what we have seen the signs are good.
Will the 2011 Hyundai India Verna be able to compete with the competition?
