There are so many ways for improving the HTC Sensation and EVO 3D battery life, as consumers have not been happy with how long each device will last for on a full charge. This has been a recurring issue over the years, but we would have assumed that phone makers would have found a solution by now?
Let us not come down too hard on the likes of HTC, as the issue lies more with consumer demand. We have asked for larger HD screens, more processing power and much more, and all this comes at a price; the battery was always going to suffer. The problem is battery technology needs to be improved, but has not been able to keep up with other areas of a smartphone.
There is however a solution, which is called bump charging. According to the XDA Developers article, this concept for getting more out of a battery has been around for some time now, but has raised its head once more. Visit the forum for details in how to do this, however, we do warn that this is not good for the battery in the long term, as it will decrease the lifespan of the battery.
Tests show that bump charging increased the battery by more than 50 percent. However, this all depends on what features you will be using on your HTC Sensation or EVO 3D. We would be interested to know if you saw an increase in battery life.
Would you trade the life span of your smartphone battery with bump charging for a few extra hours charge each day?
