Last month my colleague Alan Ng gave you information regarding the price of Verizon’s soon to be released Motorola Droid X2. It was thought the price level revealed the handset will be around the mid level range, and today we have more details of the Motorola Droid X2 as specs are finally leaked.
Evan Blass from Pocketnow.com has managed to get details from the full spec sheet for the handset. The new handset will be powered by a dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, and have an eight megapixel camera. It will have a 4.3-inch qHD display, and should ship running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The Droid X2 will also have the same Ram/Rom set up as the original Droid X handset, which is 512MB/8GB. But the new processor will allow for better video playback with 1080p via HDMI. There is also a reported 26-30fps for capture and playback.
Connection wise the handset will come with Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and Wi-Fi is now the 802.11a standard. The sensors in the new model remain the same of the original, and the handset is expected to launch within the next few weeks.
