Just over a week ago we told you about a pre-interest page for HTCs new smartphone, the Sensation 4G. We have also compared the handset to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo. But today we have news of the HTC Sensation preorder and release date.
Vodafone has begun its UK preorders for the handset, and have revealed a May 19 shipping date according to Chris Davies of SlashGear. The device has a 4.3-inch qHD display, and is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor. It will have the latest version of HTC Sense and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The handset may be the nearest Android device to challenge the new Samsung Galaxy S2. Pricing for the handset starts on a £35 per month two year contract which get you the handset for free. There is currently no word on how much the device will cost sim free or on Pay-as- You Go.
It is not known when the 4G version of the handset will be launching in the US on T-Mobile, but it will be sometime after the European launch. The Sensation joins HTCs long lineup of impressive looking smartphones. Below you will find a video review of the handset courtesy of SlashGear.
