We have some rather interesting news now for those of you that are waiting to play Splash Damage’s much-awaited first-person shooter game Brink, as we’ve just discovered an article that provides details on all of the four character classes that are included in the upcoming game.
As recently noted by Stephen Heller over on the pc.mmgn.com website, the four character classes include the Operative, the Soldier, the Medic and the Engineer. The Operative has been described as a special forces meets spy kind of guy, who comes equipped with a disguise kit and a hacking device.
Hacking can be done either short or long ranged, although the closer a player is to a terminal, the faster their objective is hacked. While players are hacking they do emit a beeping sound that will then alert their enemies. Gamers can then move away from the hacking zone and return once safe.
Operatives have the ability to disguise themselves as any downed opponent, simply by interacting with their body. Although if an enemy spots you while you are in the process, your disguise will instantly fail. The Engineer is the support class of Brink, and comes equipped with a handy Repair Tool.
The Engineer’s Repair Tool enables players to construct machine gun nests and turrets. The Soldier on the other hand is armed with Molotov Cocktails, high explosive charges and ammo boxes to resupply teammates. Finally we have the Medic, who comes armed with a variety of syringes.
