You may remember a previous post we published we suggested that RIM had concentrated on web browsing capabilities for their new OS release BlackBerry 7, now we have video evidence showing how much better the web browsing experience is when compared to OS 6.0
In the comparison video (embedded at the end of this post) we get to see the BlackBerry Bold 9930 running the new BlackBerry 7 OS against the BlackBerry Bold 9780 running OS6.0, it is clear that the Bold 9930’s internal components and enhanced web browser make web browsing much faster and there is less checkerboarding.
The video shows CrackBerry testing out the new Bold and it looks great, once the website has loaded (approximately 30% faster than the 9780) you can pan around the page with no issues, in fact even when you pinch to zoom etc it is seemingly impossible to see the checkerboarding which we have seen before in BlackBerry OS.
In every test the new Bold significantly outperforms the 9780, we like the new loading bar which is used in BlackBerry 7, the old thick blue loading bar was quite intrusive whereas now a thin white loading bar sits under the site’s address bar.
Check out the video for yourself below, is the performance jump enough to convince you to upgrade?
