Great news now for all you Angry Birds fans out there, as we’ve just heard that Rovio Mobile has recently announced its Facebook page that the hugely popular Angry Birds Rio game – which achieved an impressive 10-million downloads in under 2 weeks – is receiving an update next week.
According to a recent article over at androidcommunity.com by James Deruvo, the new update, which is fact being released a little later than expected much to the dismay of Angry Birds fans, will provide gamers with more marmoset-mauling action and more juicy secrets to unlock.
Once this update is released, fans will still have another three chapters of the Angry Birds Rio game to look forward to. These will arrive around July, October and November 2011. The first chapter Smuggler’s Den, released back in March, introduced us to Blu and Jewel from the Rio movie.
Angry Birds Rio is a spin-off from the original game, and involves the Angry Birds getting kidnapped alongside Blu and Jewel from the movie. Not only do the Angry Birds escape, but they also seek revenge on the poachers that captured the rare Macaws. The update will arrive sometime next week.
