We have great news now for those of you that use the Screens VNC (Virtual Network Computing) application on your iOS device, as the app has just been updated to version 1.5. The update not only brings speed boosts for both Mac and Windows, but it also adds a few new features.
As Rene Ritchie over at tipb.com recently noted, the newly updated Screens – VNC Client for iOS app now features a revamped and more responsive UI, url schemes support, Korean and Hebrew keyboard support and a new Grid view for iPad, ideal for people with a lot of screens to flick through.
Version 1.5 also features full screen modes (off, partial and full), which you can toggle between simply by using a 3-finger tap. The update has also added a Screens Connect status, which is available in the settings, and a keyboard toggle button on the modifiers toolbar on the iPhone.
The updated application also enables users to display either a blank screen, a screenshot or an image from their photo albums when disconnecting from a remote PC. As noted on itunes.apple.com, the Screens app is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, but requires iOS 4.1 or above.
