If you have had your hands on the HTC Thunderbolt you may have noticed a few problems and slight imperfections, well today we can confirm that Verizon will be rolling out a new firmware update on May 3d (tomorrow) which will improve things.
According to a recent article posted in IntoMobile the update will arrive over-the-air and will be well-worth installing, however sadly there will be no improvements on the HTC Thunderbolt battery life.
You can see a full list of changes here, apparently we will see improved data connectivity when using Verizon’s 3G network, improvements to SMS and MMS storage, bug fixes for the Weather Widget, better loading time for some GPS-centric apps and stability enhancements for data centric apps including Facebook, Yahoo! Mail, My Verizon and KAYAK.
There is a chance that a lot of less significant changes have been made, however neither HTC or Verizon have given us any other details. If we find out more we will keep you posted.
If you check out this link you can see a PDF document which lists all of the changes which the update will bring. The fact that an update will be rolled out which brings no obvious battery life benefits concerns us, perhaps another update will be rolled out in the future relating the HTC Thunderbolt to nullify this issue, we hope so.
What other changes would you like the update to bring?
