There seems to have been a few 3D-enabled products unveiled over the past week or so, what with Acer announcing two new 3D desktop monitors and the new Acer Aspire Z5763 all-in-one PC featuring NVIDIA 3D Vision technology. Now it appears that Samsung has got in on the action.
As Rory Reid at crave.cnet.co.uk recently reported, Samsung has just unveiled its new RF712 3D-enabled laptop, which comes with a 17.3-inch display with a full 1920 x 1080p HD resolution, and which features the same Super Bright Plus system that’s used in the company’s Series 9 laptop.
The RF712 will come with a choice of either the Dual-Core Core i5 or Quad-Core Core i7 Intel Sandy Bridge processors, an AMD Radeon HD6650M graphics adaptor with 2GB video memory, up to 8GB DDR3 memory, up to two 750GB hard drives and a 3D-compatible Blu-ray drive.
Samsung’s RF712 laptop will also come with a single pair of active-shutter glasses. However, it will enable up to three other pairs of 3D glasses to connect wirelessly if you ever fancy watching a movie with friends. The RF712 will be available in South Korea as from May 2nd, priced up at ₩2.6m.
Unfortunately there is no word on UK / US pricing or availability. Do you like the sound of the Samsung RF712 3D-enabled laptop?
