New Samsung Smart TV Apps Provide Glimpse of Future

By Updated on

There are two new Samsung Smart TV Apps available, which provide a glimpse of future from the Korean consumer electronics maker. We have already spoken about how important social media is, which is why there are also three apps just for this. However, we now thought we would look at the role apps play in the future of your TV enjoyment.

The two new apps in question are from HBO and MTV, and are just two of a growing number of applications that are already available for the new range of Smart TVs. Samsung have already said how they plan to expend on the amount of apps and how the user interacts with them as well. This is a little different to Apple’s approach, as they tend to stay out of how these apps are developed.

AppMarket.TV points out that in the year that Samsung Apps has been on the market consumers seem to be very happy so far. As you would imagine there are more apps available for download in the U.S. – we just hope that the UK catches up. If Samsung has anything to do with it, then it will not be long.

Now that our TVs have these apps, we will start to enjoy sitting in the living rooms with our families once more – a great excuse not to worry about this whole PSN issue, and these two new apps could not be any better. With HBO you will have access to over 1,400 titles of programs, such as True Blood and Board Walk Empire.

With the MTV app, fans will be able to get much closer to the music, such as viewing videos, latest news and so much more. It will be as if you have one big smartphone in your living room, as you will still be able to keep in touch by tweeting them or sending them a message on Facebook if you hear about something – such as a new concert coming up.

If this is just the start for Samsung Smart TV apps, then we cannot wait to see what they have in store for us next.
