Now that summer is almost here, many of you will be thinking about getting outside and doing some sort of exercise such as riding your bike or taking a long walk. If you own an Apple iPhone, there are apps available that can make your exercising experience far more rewarding.
Chris Oldroyd over on the tipb.com website has recently taken a look at some of the top health and fitness apps available for the iPhone and has listed what he believes is 5 of the best. The first on the list is the RunKeeper app, which uses the GPS on your iPhone to track all your fitness adventures.
The RunKeeper application enables users to monitor activities such as running, walking and cycling, and even allows them to share their health and fitness progress with their friends via the Facebook and Twitter integration. Another great fitness app on the list is Nike+ GPS.
Nike+ GPS not only enables you to map your runs, but it also records information such as distance and pace. The app includes some great motivational features such as messages from Nike’s top athletes, voice feedback and even mid-run messages from friends commenting on your run status.
Full Fitness is another app that made it onto the top 5 list. This is a personal trainer type application that provides users with more than 300 exercises, which are all explained in detail with written instructions, videos and pictures. Exercises are also sorted into different categories.
