We have some rather interesting news now for all you Call of Duty: Black Ops fans out there, as it appears that the developer Treyarch has recently decided to add a brand new playlist to the game. The playlist in question is called ‘Competition,’ and can be found within the Barebones section.
According to a recent article by Dylan Garner over on the videogamewriters.com website, the new ‘Competition’ playlist – which is explained in a recent video over on the Treyarch Facebook page – bans many of the weapons and gear that are regularly used in the normal game types.
As noted in the video, the new playlist bans items such as the Second Chance, Flak Jacket and Warlord perks and secondary weapon launchers such as the China Lake, RPG, Strela-3 and M72 Law. In regards to attachments, the playlist bans the Flamethrower, Grenade Launcher and Rapid Fire.
Tactical Grenades such as Nova Gas and Decoy are also banned in the new playlist. If players decide to use a class that features any of the banned items in the ‘Competition’ playlist, it will just disable them, take away the banned weapons, attachments and equipment and replace perks with ‘None.’
