Back in December last year we brought you screenshots and the debut trailer for the upcoming squad-based shooter Binary Domain, which at the time was slated for a 2011 release. However, Sega has now confirmed that the much-anticipated game is due to hit stores sometime in early 2012.
Details regarding the release date of the Binary Domain game – designed by Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi – weren’t the only thing that Sega revealed recently either, as according to Sal Romano over on the scrawlfx.com website, the developer also unveiled a brand new gameplay trailer.
As some of you may already know, the Binary Domain game – which will be available for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles – takes place in a fictional war set in 2080 Tokyo, in which humans are pitted against robots. The trailer and some new screenshots can be found over on scrawlfx.com.
According to information over on the sega.co.uk website, in the heat of the battle, players will have to adapt under pressure, motivate and build trust with their squad and make real time decisions, knowing that there is always consequences that could affect their team as well as future missions.
