It has been announced by Nintendo that the next console from the company will be shown at this years’ E3 event in June. The console has the code name Project Café and is expected to hit the market in 2012. But will the Nintendo Wii 2 release be too little too late?
The current Wii console was launched in November 2006, and at the time it was ground breaking with its motion controllers. For the first time gamers could really get involved as a family with video games, as they had fun playing games like Wii Sports Resorts or Wii Fit.
But time has moved on and now we have more advanced systems from Microsoft and Sony. For now details of Nintendo’s next console are sketchy, and only rumors of what it might feature exist at the moment. In the past the company has always been innovative so they may bring us something that will blow our minds. But has Nintendo already fallen too far behind the competition?
