By Updated on

Although many of you may have already heard about Toshiba’s forthcoming Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) run tablet PC before now, nothing was really known about the actual name of the device. Not only have we now got details of a name however, but also information on a price and specs.

According to a recent laptoping.com article, the device – which was listed on the Newegg website – has been named the Toshiba ANT, although we don’t know whether that’s the final name. There will be a choice of 3 different models: the 8GB ANT-100, the 16GB ANT-102 and the 32GB ANT-104.

The models have been priced up at $450, $500 and $580 respectively. The Toshiba ANT is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz processor, features Bluetooth and 802.11n wireless connectivity and comes with a 10.1-inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800.

It also comes with a 6-cell replaceable battery that provides a battery life of around 7 hours, a 2-megapixel front-facing webcam, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, accelerometer, a GPS receiver, an HDMI port, a full-size USB and a mini-USB and an SD card slot.

Unfortunately we have no word on availability at this stage. Do you like the sound of the Toshiba ANT Android tablet?
