If you live in the UK and you’re waiting for the Dell Streak 7 Android tablet to arrive, then I think we have just the news you’ve been waiting for. Not only has Dell officially revealed the device in the UK, but the company has also given the Wi-Fi only version a UK price.
According to a recent article by Rosemary Hattersley over on the pcadvisor.co.uk website, the Wi-Fi only version has been priced up at £299. The Dell Streak 7 is powered by a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and runs on the Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system.
It also comes with a 7-inch WVGA display featuring scratchproof Gorilla Glass, a 5-megapixel camera round the back, a 1.3-megapixel webcam at the front, GPS, an accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.1, 16GB memory and an SD card slot that enables the device to be upgraded to 64GB.
As well as having the standard Google Android features such as access to the Android Market app store, Amazon MP3 music downloads and the Chrome Lite web browser, the Dell Streak 7 also provides supports for business applications such as Microsoft Exchange email and calendar.
There will also be a Wi-Fi and 3G version going on sale sometime later this spring, although we don’t have a price for that model as of yet. Are you looking to buy the Dell Streak 7 tablet?
