Microsoft is already in the process of rolling out their NoDo software update for Windows Phone 7 handsets, but we have some interesting news to bring you now as it appears that some users are getting a different update to everyone else – we have a screenshot to show you which confirms this.
Most of you have probably already received the copy and paste NoDo update, identified as build WP 7.0.7390.0 on your phone settings. However, one user has confirmed to have build number WP 7.0.7753.0 installed on his device instead, which is obviously a higher firmware version and an update that may be part of the future Mango rollout.
Before you get disappointed that you don’t have this higher build version on your device, the only notable difference according to PocketNow, is the inclusion of a search icon menu on the homescreen located at the bottom. There’s no indication of any other new features such as multitasking, so we’re as eager as you are for Microsoft to clear this mystery up.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you have the 7753 build installed on your Windows Phone 7 device or the ‘older’ 7390 version’ – If so, let us know of any notable changes on your handset that you feel we should know about.
