NASCAR The Game 2011 Review, Flawed Online Play a Problem

By Updated on

Reviews are coming in for NASCAR The Game 2011, however it seems to have some major flaws in some areas which resulted in it getting an “Okay” (6.0/10) score from IGN, you can see their full review here.

IGN say that there were areas of the game that were nice, these include racing in the pack, slick graphics and pleasant afternoon lighting. They also liked the feel of NASCAR when you were guided by the intro cut scenes, however this was all put down by the online aspects.

The online play has many bugs which stalls the game’s multiplayer appeal and the repetitive race structure doesn’t leave the gamer too enthusiastic to come back once the Cup has been won. This damages the game according to IGN and because of this, the game lacks long-term appeal, some of the flaws could be patched, it’s just a shame Eutechnyx could not have smoothed out these issues before the game’s release.

We suppose if you are a big fan of NASCAR this game is worth buying, however if you are not too enthusiastic about it there are plenty of other racing games which are much better.

Should Activision stick with Eutechnyx for the next NASCAR video game?
