Back in February we announced that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo smartphone – the low-end alternative to the Xperia Arc – would be available from Orange UK at some point in the second quarter of 2011. Now it looks like we can provide our readers with a UK price and release date.
According to Roland Hutchinson over on the geeky-gadgets.com website, the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) run Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo handset will be available in the UK from Clove as from April 19th. The device will be on sale for £299 excluding taxes and shipping costs.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, has a weight of 126g and features a 3.7-inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 854 x 480, accelerometer, 8GB of storage and a microSD memory card slot.
It also comes with an 8.1-megapixel camera that’s capable of capturing full 1080p HD video and features Sony’s Exmor R sensor. The Xperia Neo also features Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth connectivity, Sony’s Bravia Engine, a 3.5mm audio jack, aGPS and HDMI.
Are you interested in purchasing the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo handset, or would you much rather go for a phone such as the Xperia Arc or the Xperia Play?
