An application which can help car owners keep down the costs of maintenance is available on the Apple App Store. Car Maintenance Reminder 1.0 is available for owners of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
Released b y Corbenic Consulting Ltd, the application will give users text like message alerts when it is time to perform maintenance and work on their car. Regularly maintaining a car can help cut down costs in the long term, and is of great help during these expensive times.
The alerts are set up by the user and can be triggered by the date or the cars odometer reading. Owners of cars who miss important oil changes or tire pressure checks can often be met with more costly problems further down the line. Just a simple check of tire pressures can help improve fuel efficiency.
Once an alert is acknowledged by the user a badge is placed above the app icon to act as a reminder. When the task has been carried out the badge can be cleared until next time.

You can manage as many cars as you need, and you also have your correct tire pressures and oil type close to hand. It can also be used with any vehicle that has an odometer.
Car Maintenance Reminder 1.0 is available worldwide on the App Store for only $0.99/£0.59. iOS 3.0 or later required.
