Bust-A-Move Universe, IGN Review Shows Some Negatives

Bust-A-Move Universe is the remake of the classic Bust-A-Move title that has been released for the 3DS. With the new release comes some new game modes and 3D capabilities, however IGN have stated that there are definately faults to be found in the game.

The first thing that IGN made clear was their dissapointment for the Puzzle Mode stating, “I couldn’t help but feel cheated when I finished the entirety of Puzzle Mode in under three hours.” This was pointed out throughout their post but other features such as the trophy scheme was enough to keep the players coming back and helped to give Puzzle Mode some lasting appeal.

Other dissapointments were noticed when they discovered there was no multiplayer mode, graphics had been rushed to get to release and overall they said that you are better off buying a cheaper version of the game elsewhere. The 3D is not enough to persuade you to buy this version. (Although IGN did note that the 3D capabilities were nicely used for, ironically, the flat images).

The game itself is still as addictive as all other versions of Bust-A-Move and so, do not rule this one out from your collection just yet. The game is still worth playing if not buying and does create the great sense of fun that all previous versions have.
