Apple iPhone 5 Specs: Insight from Leaked iPod Touch Photos

By Jamie Pert - Apr 5, 2011

Earlier today we posted an article showing some leaked photos of the 5th-generation iPod Touch, this got us thinking about the iPhone 5, will it feature similar specs?

When Apple released the iPhone 4 and 4th-generation iPod Touch last year there were lots of similarities between the two products, will this be the case in 2011? If so, the leaked iPod Touch 2011 photos could give us some insight as to what to expect from the iPhone 5.

The article posted on CrunchGear suggests that the 5th-gen iPod Touch will feature up to 128GB of storage and a capacitive home button, prior to this 64GB of storage was the maximum available and a physical home button was used.

It would make sense for Apple to use similar components in their products, could this mean that Apple’s iPhone 5 will feature up to 128GB of storage and a capacitive home button? Your guess is as good as ours, however it is worth thinking about.

To stay competitive in today’s high-end smartphone market the iPhone 5 will have to boast many advances when compared to the iPhone 4, more storage and a new home button are both steps in the right direction, if Apple combine this with a better camera, the Apple A5 processor and iOS 5 and the whole package will be a vast improvement on last year’s effort, what do you think?
